Our acoustic elements open up almost unlimited possibilities for individual design. From the core material and shaping to special surface finishes and lighting effects, each project can be realized as a unique solution.

Printed panels, creative forming, distinctive edge solutions or ready-to-install systems give architects and planners maximum freedom to implement sophisticated design concepts. At the same time, the elements combine functional performance such as sound absorption with a high-quality, aesthetic appearance.

The result is tailor-made solutions that harmonize acoustics, architecture and creativity – creating spaces with character and a distinctive atmosphere.

Frequently asked questions about us and our products

What is the best way to illuminate the elements?

Backlighting is the most effective method. Satin-finished surfaces diffuse the light evenly, while high-gloss finishes emphasize the crystalline character. Side lighting is less effective.

Can clear-PEP / AIR-board ECO elements be used outdoors?

Yes. For outdoor applications, clear-PEP with polycarbonate face sheets is suitable.

Is thermal forming of the panels possible?

Yes. Thermally formed panels are available on request.

What is the fire resistance of the panels?

AIR-board acoustic complies with fire classification B-s1, d0.

Can the elements be used as partition walls or room dividers?

Yes. AIR-board acoustic quiet was specifically developed for this purpose. These elements provide sound insulation of up to 28 dB while simultaneously offering sound absorption with an NRC of 0.30. The standard version, by comparison, provides only approx. 6 dB of sound insulation.

How can a homogeneous lighting effect be achieved?

Backlighting is recommended; a satin finish ensures uniform light diffusion.

Which colors are available?

The standard version is clear / transparent.
Colors can be added afterwards using digital printing.

What is special about AIR-board acoustic elements?

They combine high light transmission with excellent sound absorption (NRC up to 0.70) and can be easily integrated into interior fit-out applications.

Is it possible to bend or curve the elements?

Partially. One-dimensional forming is only possible with clear-PEP panels featuring PMMA / acrylic facing sheets or acoustic panels.

Can the panels be supplied with sealed edges?

Yes. Various edge-sealing options are available.

How much sound to the panels absorb?

A sound absorption level of NRC 0.7 can be reached if installed as a wall/ceiling covering.

Can AIR-board acoustic elements be used outdoors?

No. AIR-board acoustic elements are intended for indoor use only.

Are special formats available?

Yes. Special formats up to 3,600 × 1,220 mm and a thickness of up to 35 mm are available, subject to minimum order quantities.

What standard dimensions are available?

2,500 × 1,220 mm and 1,800 × 1,220 mm, available in thicknesses of 19 mm or 25 mm. Please refer to the relevant data sheet.
