Why was the material AIR-board® UV PC chosen?
Based on the requirements of a moveable exhibition we chose with Space 4 flame-retardant modular materials with high robustness and low weight. In addition, ecological properties such as purity of variety were taken into account in order to meet the theme of the exhibition “energy. transitions”.
What makes the material application special?
The translucent optics, combined with a special light scattering and the possibility of double-sided imprint, offered the opportunity for a new design application. The excellent stiffness of the AIR-board® allows loads to be applied and the placement of “floating” exhibits.
What particular qualities do the materials have?
Together with light and colour, optical depths are created. The honeycomb structure of the AIR-board accentuates the backlit print and achieves attractive colour gradients. Information graphics playfully embedded in the front side complete the scenographic image.
